Residential Cleaning Terms & Conditions

1. Scheduling and Pricing


1.1 Appointment Booking: To ensure a smooth scheduling process, we request our valued customers to use Google Calendar to book their appointments with Green Janitorial Services (GJS). We appreciate your promptness in confirming the appointment within seven (7) days of making the request and at least 24 hours before the appointment date. This helps us optimize our scheduling and allocate resources to provide the best possible service experience.

1.2 Pricing Agreement: A 3% processing fee applies to payments made via credit card and ACH transfer. Payments made by cashier’s check or money order are exempt from this fee. By confirming an appointment, the customer agrees to all pricing and rates set by GJS.

1.3 Late Fee: If payment is not received by the invoice due date, a 10% late fee will be applied to the outstanding balance each month until the full amount is paid.

1.4 Service Range: A $10 mileage fee applies to services located more than 20 miles from our office at 3007 S W Temple St, Suite B, South Salt Lake, UT 84115. This fee is in addition to the standard cleaning fee.

2. Authorized Staff Policy

Our cleaners are not authorized to make any changes to the agreed-upon work orders. They are responsible for diligently following the pre-arranged service plan, ensuring that each task is completed to the highest standard.

3. Payment Procedures

Payments for our services should never be made directly to our cleaners. GJS has a designated payment process to ensure transparency and security. Please discuss payment matters directly with GJS customer support at 801-577-8703, where our customer support team will be more than happy to assist you with any inquiries or payment-related matters.

4. Service Requests


4.1 Work Order Policy: We do not renegotiate work orders on the day of the cleaning. This allows us to maintain the integrity of our services and uphold our commitment to professionalism and meet all our client's scheduling needs. Any changes or adjustments to the service plan should be discussed and confirmed prior to the scheduled appointment to ensure proper preparation and resource allocation.

4.2 Straightening-Up Services: Please note that we do not offer straightening-up services as a standalone option. Our deep cleaning services provide comprehensive cleaning and maintenance. If you have specific areas requiring attention during regular cleaning sessions, inform us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

4.3 Tips Policy: Our dedicated staff is committed to providing you with exceptional service. While tips are greatly appreciated and a way to show appreciation for their hard work, they are entirely at the client's discretion.

5. Handling Complaints


At GJS, your satisfaction is our top priority, and we strive to always deliver exceptional service. In the unlikely event that you have any concerns about the cleaning service provided, we kindly request you contact us promptly and follow these steps:

5.1 Take a photo of the area or item requiring attention or correction.

5.2 Submit the photo and a detailed description of your concern to [email protected] or text to 801-577-8703.

Upon receiving your complaint, our team will promptly assess the situation and schedule a revisit to address the specific concern.

6. Respectful Interaction with Cleaners


Please refrain from asking or pressuring our cleaners to perform additional tasks beyond their designated responsibilities. Our cleaners are trained to follow specific protocols. Any extra services can be arranged through our customer support team at 801-577-8703.

7. Residential Deep Cleaning (First Visit)


GJS begins with a residential deep cleaning, which serves as the foundation for our service and ensures a pristine and immaculate environment. This initial investment by our clients is the key differentiator that allows us to stand out from our competitors, enabling us to deliver the utmost luxury cleaning experiences consistently. We understand the importance of budget-conscious decisions, but it's essential to recognize that deep cleaning demands the time and dedication necessary to achieve exceptional results.

Clients can choose from full home deep cleaning services, customized deep cleaning areas, or limited budget focus areas.

7.1 Full Home Deep Cleaning Service: At GJS, our deep cleaning service starts at a base rate of $350 (restrictions apply), which covers up to ten (10) labor hours per cleaner. Any additional labor hours beyond the initial ten (10) will be charged at a rate of $35 per hour per cleaner until the service is completed. However, please note deep cleaning generally takes longer than maintenance cleaning, and the actual cost of the service may vary depending on the size of your home or specific areas you request for cleaning. For example, a typical three-bedroom, two-bathroom home often requires around 15 hours of labor to complete a thorough deep cleaning. This includes dividing the labor hours among the number of cleaners needed for the job. The total cost of labor is then calculated accordingly.

7.2 Customized Deep Cleaning Areas: At GJS, our deep cleaning service starts at a base rate of $350 (restrictions apply), which covers up to ten (10) labor hours per cleaner.   • Identify Priority Areas: You will have the opportunity to identify specific areas in your home that you want to be cleaned. These areas will be pre-approved, ensuring that we focus only on the parts of your home that matter the most to you.

  • Pre-Approved Cleaning Areas: Once you've identified the priority areas and booked your services, our professional team will work exclusively on these spaces. We do not clean the entire home.

  • Allotted Labor Hours: We will provide a dedicated amount of labor hours to the cleaning of the identified priority areas. Our skilled team will work diligently within these allocated hours to deliver top-notch cleaning services, ensuring your satisfaction with the results.

7.4 Included Services: The Residential Deep Cleaning includes the following:

  • Identify Priority Areas: You will have the opportunity to identify specific areas in your home that you want to be cleaned. These areas will be pre-approved, ensuring that we focus only on the parts of your home that matter the most to you.

  • Pre-Approved Cleaning Areas: Once you've identified the priority areas and booked your services, our professional team will work exclusively on these spaces. We do not clean the entire home.

  • Allotted Labor Hours: We will provide a dedicated amount of labor hours to the cleaning of the identified priority areas. Our skilled team will work diligently within these allocated hours to deliver top-notch cleaning services, ensuring your satisfaction with the results.

7.5 Preparation: Ensure all fragile and highly breakable items are secured or removed before the cleaning service.

8. Maintenance Residential Cleaning


8.1 Request After Deep Cleaning: Maintenance residential cleaning can only be requested after the Residential Deep Cleaning has been done by GJS.

8.2 Time Estimates: We provide rough estimates of the time needed based on frequency, but factors like clutter, pets, dirty dishes, children, and other considerations unique to your home may influence the actual duration.

8.3 Service Coverage: Maintenance Residential Cleaning covers similar services as deep cleaning. It's important to note that certain items receive a general dusting and are not deep cleaned unless needed.

  • Walls, Doors, Vents, Baseboards, Blinds, and Fans: Dusted (washed if needed).

  • Windows, Sliding Doors: Wiped down with glass cleaner, and rails and windowsills are dusted.

  • Stairways: Railings are dusted, and steps are mopped or vacuumed.

8.4 Preparation: Ensure all fragile and highly breakable items are secured or removed before the cleaning service.

9. General Terms


9.1 Environmental Responsibility: At GJS, our commitment to environmental responsibility is paramount. We are proud to exclusively use biodegradable, safe cleaning solutions for your home and the planet. As part of this dedication to eco-friendly practices, we provide all the cleaning detergents and equipment required for the service.

9.2 Customer's Cleaning Detergents and Equipment: GJS staff is only authorized to use the customer's cleaning detergents and equipment if they are strictly biodegradable, and arrangements have been made before the cleaning appointment. The Client must allow the cleaner access to hot water and power.

9.3 Alarm Systems: GJS will not be held responsible for any alarm systems; please provide instructions for activation/deactivation.

9.4 Late Arrival Policy: While we strive to arrive on time for every appointment, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic can cause delays. If our cleaners are delayed, clients will be notified promptly. We allow a grace period of up to 30 minutes for late arrivals. Cancellations by the client due to cleaners arriving within this grace period will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the scheduled service cost.

9.5 Restrictions on Hiring Past Cleaners: By entering under these Terms and Conditions with GJS, after the termination of the cleaning service provided by GJS, the Client must not hire or use any home-related services provided by a present or past cleaner introduced to the Client by GJS.

9.6 Use of Contact Information: By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions and providing your contact information—including, but not limited to, your email address, phone number, or mailing address—you consent to GJS using this information to send you communications related to our services, including but not limited to promotions, special offers, updates, reminders, and other relevant business information.

You may opt out of promotional communications at any time by following the instructions provided in those messages or by reaching out to us directly at [email protected] or by texting 801-577-8703.

This includes ensuring that areas to be cleaned are free from heavy traffic, large obstructions, and any hazardous conditions.

2.2 Rebooking Fee: If the client is not ready for the cleaning on the day of the scheduled cleaning, a day-of rebooking fee of $100 will be charged.

3. Onsite Verification and Discounted Touch-Up Services


3.1 Onsite Verification: After the cleaning process, GJS requires an onsite verification of the completed work. Our team will take pictures to document the site's condition.

3.2 Discounted Touch-Up Services: If the site becomes dirty again from workers or visitors, and touch-up services are requested, GJS offers a 35% discounted rate for the return visit, provided the initial readiness requirements are met.

9.2 Floor Scrubbing: Clean and restore various floor surfaces with our industrial-grade scrubbers, rejuvenating tired floors and maintaining a polished appearance.

9.3 Window Cleaning: Achieve streak-free, sparkling windows in both commercial and residential settings, enhancing the appearance and ambiance of your space.

9.4 Power Washing: With our Kaivac machine, we offer power washing with soap, water, brush, and vacuum, tackling even the toughest cleaning challenges in restrooms, locker rooms, food service kitchens, floors, and commercial refrigeration equipment.

9.5 Strip and Wax: Our professional stripping and waxing services transform dull and worn-out floors into vibrant, polished surfaces, revitalizing the look of your space.9.6 Carpet Cleaning: Using advanced techniques and equipment, we provide deep cleaning and stain removal for carpets, ensuring a fresh and revitalized appearance.
